RETURN & REFUND POLICY

(Hacoco Secondary Marketplace)

Effective Date: 1st January 2026

Hacoco operates as a curated marketplace facilitating transactions between independent sellers and buyers. All artworks listed on Hacoco are unique and sold on an “as-is, where-is” basis.

Due to the nature of artworks, Hacoco follows a limited return policy.


1. General Policy

All sales are final.

Returns or refunds are permitted only in cases of material misrepresentation, subject to verification and approval by Hacoco.

Change of mind, aesthetic preference, or buyer remorse does not qualify for returns.


2. Eligible Reasons for Return

A return may be considered only if:

  • The artwork received is materially different from the listing description

  • There is clear evidence of undisclosed damage

  • Provenance or authenticity information provided by the seller is materially inaccurate

Minor variations in color, texture, or appearance due to lighting, photography, or display conditions do not constitute grounds for return.


3. Return Request Timeline

Buyers must submit a return request within:

  • 48 hours of delivery or inspection

Requests submitted after this window will not be accepted.


4. Return Review Process

All return requests must include:

  • Clear photographs

  • Written explanation

  • Supporting documentation

Hacoco will review the claim and may consult independent experts if necessary.

Hacoco reserves the right to accept or reject return requests at its sole discretion.


5. Refund Process

If a return is approved:

  • Artwork must be returned in original condition and packaging

  • Buyer is responsible for secure return shipping unless otherwise agreed

  • Refund will be processed after artwork is received and verified

Platform fees, verification fees, and logistics costs are non-refundable unless explicitly stated.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–14 business days after verification.


6. Damage During Transit

If artwork is damaged during shipping:

  • Buyer must notify Hacoco within 24 hours of delivery

  • Provide photographic evidence

  • Retain original packaging

Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted.


7. Fraud Prevention

Hacoco reserves the right to deny refunds in cases of suspected fraud, misuse, or abuse of this policy.


8. Platform Role

Hacoco facilitates resolution between buyers and sellers but does not guarantee outcomes. Final decisions regarding returns and refunds rest with Hacoco.


9. Policy Updates

Hacoco may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
