SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY
(Hacoco Secondary Marketplace)
Effective Date: 1st January 2026
Hacoco facilitates transactions between independent sellers and buyers. Shipping and delivery arrangements may be coordinated by Hacoco or directly between buyer and seller, depending on the transaction.
All artworks are shipped subject to the terms outlined below.
1. Shipping Responsibility
Unless explicitly agreed otherwise:
- Seller is responsible for preparing the artwork for shipment
- Buyer is responsible for shipping costs
- Hacoco may assist with logistics coordination but does not act as carrier
Hacoco does not physically handle artworks.
2. Packaging Standards
Sellers must ensure artworks are:
- Professionally packed
- Protected against moisture, impact, and environmental damage
- Accompanied by relevant documentation
Failure to comply may result in delayed payments or transaction cancellation.
3. Delivery Timelines
Estimated delivery timelines are provided for guidance only and may vary based on:
- Location
- Carrier availability
- Customs (if applicable)
- External factors beyond Hacoco’s control
Hacoco is not liable for delays caused by logistics providers.
4. Inspection Upon Delivery
Buyers must inspect artworks immediately upon receipt.
Any issues must be reported to Hacoco within:
- 24 hours for transit damage
- 48 hours for condition discrepancies
Claims raised after these periods may not be accepted.
5. Risk Transfer
Risk of loss or damage transfers to the buyer upon delivery to the shipping carrier, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Buyers are encouraged to obtain transit insurance.
6. Insurance
Unless explicitly stated:
- Hacoco does not provide insurance coverage
- Buyers may request insured shipping at additional cost
- Insurance arrangements must be confirmed prior to dispatch
7. Failed Deliveries
If delivery fails due to incorrect address, unavailable recipient, or refusal to accept delivery:
- Buyer bears any re-shipping or storage costs
- Hacoco reserves the right to cancel the transaction if unresolved
8. International Shipping (Future Phase)
For cross-border transactions:
- Buyers and sellers are responsible for customs duties, taxes, and compliance
- Export regulations may apply
- Hacoco may restrict international shipments at its discretion
9. Platform Role
Hacoco facilitates communication and coordination but does not guarantee carrier performance.
All shipping services are provided by third-party logistics partners.
10. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated periodically. Continued platform use constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
